A clear, written proposal
Within 2 working days we send you a written proposal: scope, deliverables, timeline, fixed price. Nothing hidden, nothing vague.

You approve, we start
You sign the proposal, pay the first invoice (50% upfront), and we start work. You always know who is doing what and when.

Build with regular check-ins
We share progress weekly. You see the site as it comes together — not just at the end. Revisions are part of the process, not a fight.

Launch, then ongoing care
We go live together. After launch, you're on a monthly care plan so the site stays fast, secure, and up to date with no extra effort from you.

How is the website actually free?
When you commit to 12 months of any care plan upfront, we build your website for free. The annual commitment gives us the runway to do the build properly without charging a separate fee. Annual Basic (£180/yr) gets you a clean 4-page site. Annual Starter (£588/yr) gets you the full version with blog, SEO foundations, and Google Business Profile setup.
Do I own the website at the end?
Yes. You own the domain, the design, and the content. If you ever want to leave, you take everything with you. We never hold a domain hostage.
Can I mix and match services?
Yes. Most clients start with one thing — a website, a Shopify store, or a PPC retainer — and add others later. Every service is standalone; you're never forced into a bundle.
Why should I work with SME Shack instead of a freelancer or a bigger agency?
Freelancers are often great but can disappear or get overwhelmed. Big agencies have account managers, layers of process, and prices to match. We sit between the two: a fixed-price service, run by people who actually understand business operations, with a proper care plan after launch so you are not left on your own.
Where are you based, and do you work nationally?
We're based in West Yorkshire and work with small businesses across the UK. Most projects run remotely on video calls. If you're local and want to meet in person, that's welcome too.
